About the Training
This session will be led by Jeremy Fox, LPC, CPCS, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and will introduce participants to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as an evidence-based, eight-phase treatment model.
Participants will explore EMDR’s three-pronged approach to past events, present triggers, and future functioning. The training will also cover proposed mechanisms of action, common misconceptions about EMDR, and the EMDRIA training pathway.

About Jeremy Fox
Jeremy Fox, LPC, CPCS, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, and EMDRIA Approved Consultant specializing in the treatment of trauma.
Jeremy has practiced EMDR since 2014 and became an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in 2019. His article, “Recovery, Interrupted: The Zeigarnik Effect in EMDR Therapy and the Adaptive Information Processing Model,” was published in the Journal of EMDR Practice and Research in September 2020.
He has presented widely on the application of EMDR to dissociation, flashbacks, and other symptoms of post-traumatic stress. Jeremy also serves as a facilitator for EMDRIA-approved EMDR basic training courses and specializes in treating complex PTSD, survivors of childhood trauma, veterans, and first responders.
CE Requirements
Participants can earn 1 NBCC continuing education hour by meeting the attendance requirements and completing the required post-training activities, including achieving a score of 80% or higher on the post-test.
Please note: This is an introductory continuing education training and is not EMDR certification or EMDR basic training. Participation does not qualify attendees as EMDR-trained or EMDR-certified clinicians.
