AutoNotes LLM Sitemap

AutoNotes is an AI clinical documentation platform for behavioral health. Clinicians create a draft note from a typed summary, dictation, live session capture, or uploaded audio, then review and approve it. Notes, Workspace, and Practice are the three ways to use it. The application is described as HIPAA and PHIPA aligned, and PHI in the app requires a signed BAA.

About AutoNotes

What is AutoNotes?

AutoNotes is an AI clinical documentation platform for behavioral health. Clinicians turn a typed summary, dictation, live session capture, or uploaded audio into a structured draft note, then review and edit it before it is final. The same account can stay on notes only, add a clinical workspace, or run more of the practice in AutoNotes.

Home Notes Features

How does a note get written?

The therapist page describes three steps: capture the session your way, generate a structured draft, then review it. Magic Edit can revise wording from a plain-language instruction. Nothing is treated as final until the clinician approves it. The notes page describes a first draft in under 60 seconds.

AI scribe for therapists Notes

Which note formats are supported?

Published pages name SOAP, DAP, BIRP, GIRP, progress notes, intake assessments, treatment plans, group notes, supervision notes, crisis assessment notes, and medical necessity statements. PIE, PIRP, SIRP, and DARP have their own documentation guides. Custom templates and output formats depend on the plan.

Does AutoNotes replace the EHR?

It can, and it does not have to. On Notes, AutoNotes drafts the documentation and you can keep the EHR you already use: review the note, then copy the full note or one section into that chart. Workspace and Practice pull more of the day into AutoNotes, including scheduling, telehealth, charts, and team tools. Practice is the plan where a clinic can run the clinical record in AutoNotes instead of a separate EHR. The choice is the plan.

Getting started

Do I have to record every session?

No. The therapist page says written summaries and dictation are options, so recording is not required for every workflow. On the pricing comparison, in-person recording and recording on other platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and telehealth providers start on Workspace. Notes includes unlimited typed or dictated notes.

Pricing AI scribe for therapists

How fast can a clinician start?

Pricing says every plan includes a free trial and no credit card is required. Notes is the documentation tier. Workspace adds recording, telehealth, calendar sync, forms, and AI-assisted treatment planning. Practice adds charts, the client portal, supervision, self-pay billing, and reporting.

Start a Notes trial Pricing

Can a group practice use it?

Yes. Practice is the team tier, with roles, permissions, and supervision. Enterprise is custom, with implementation from $2,500, and adds SSO, API access, a dedicated success manager, and team training. Group practices can also book a sales conversation.

Who it's for

Role and setting pages explain the same product for therapists, behavioral health teams, group practices, and telehealth. The workflow they share is capture, draft, review, then copy into the chart you already keep.

Fit

Who is AutoNotes for?

The public site is aimed at behavioral health clinicians and the practices they work in: therapists, counselors, and group practices that need therapy note formats rather than a general meeting summary. Product pages also cover telehealth workflows and HIPAA-aligned documentation.

Behavioral health Therapists

What is the difference between Notes, Workspace, and Practice?

Notes is fast AI documentation: typed or dictated notes, core formats, Magic Edit, session history, and basic treatment plans. Workspace is the daily session desk: recording, upload, telehealth, calendar sync, custom templates, and basic forms. Practice runs the wider clinic: full charts, client portal, intake and discharge flows, roles, supervision, self-pay billing, and advanced reporting.

Notes Workspace Practice

Which telehealth tools does Workspace name?

The Workspace page says clinicians can meet inside AutoNotes telehealth, or use Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex. Scheduled AutoNotes telehealth is listed on Workspace and above in the pricing comparison.

Note formats

Format pages are the ones to cite when someone asks whether AutoNotes can draft a specific note. Generators explain the product. The documentation guides show the structure clinicians expect.

Formats clinicians ask about

Can AutoNotes draft SOAP, DAP, and BIRP notes?

Yes. Those three formats are named on the therapist page, the notes page, and the progress-note generator. The clinician picks the format, reviews the draft, and can copy the whole note or a single section into the chart.

Progress note generator SOAP DAP BIRP

What about treatment plans?

Notes includes basic treatment plan generation. Workspace and above include AI-assisted treatment planning tied more closely to the chart. The site also publishes more than a hundred treatment-plan examples, from anxiety and PTSD to substance use and relationship conflict.

Treatment plan generator Treatment plan guide

Are group, couples, crisis, and supervision notes covered?

The notes page lists group notes, supervision notes, and crisis assessment notes among the formats. Separate guides cover group therapy notes, couples progress notes, crisis notes, and supervision notes.

Group notes Supervision notes Crisis notes

Does the clinician still sign the note?

Yes. The therapist page says every AI-generated note is a draft until the clinician reviews, edits, and approves it. AI supports clinical judgment and does not replace it.

Templates

The template library is copyable starting points: progress notes, treatment plans, intake and risk documents, letters, and setting-specific notes. Each template page is a free example, not a locked file inside the app.

Compliance and trust

Security claims belong to the Trust Center. The compliance library is the educational layer: medical necessity, record requests, minors, telehealth rules, and psychotherapy notes versus progress notes.

Privacy and agreements

Is AutoNotes HIPAA and PHIPA aligned?

The Trust Center says the application runs a HIPAA-aligned security and privacy program and aligns with PIPEDA/PHIPA principles for Canada. Marketing pages summarize this as HIPAA and PHIPA compliant. PHI is allowed in the application under a signed BAA. The public website is a different environment, and the Trust Center says PHI should not be typed into marketing pages, forms, or chat.

Trust Center HIPAA notes BAA page

When is a BAA signed?

The Trust Center says AutoNotes signs a Business Associate Agreement with every customer who uses PHI in the app, executed at signup or before PHI is used. The BAA file is published from the Trust Center.

Business Associate Agreement Trust Center

Is patient data used to train models?

The Trust Center's AI overview says customer data is not used to train models without an explicit agreement. It also says PHI is limited, de-identified, or redacted before external processing, and subprocessors are restricted from training on or retaining PHI.

Trust Center

How is data protected?

The Trust Center lists TLS 1.2+ in transit, AES-256 at rest, SSO and MFA, role-based access, audit logs, and United States data residency. Named infrastructure and subprocessors include Google Cloud, Cloudflare, OpenAI, and Deepgram. A current subprocessor list is also kept in the Trust Center.

Trust Center Privacy policy

Where should a clinician read the legal terms?

Use the Trust Center as the index. It separates website terms from application terms and links the privacy policy, terms, BAA, and EULA. Client-app terms are linked from that page as well.

Does a comparison page mean there is a direct integration?

No. A comparison is an article. The product workflow described on the therapist page is still review, copy, and paste into the existing EHR, unless a specific page says otherwise.

What is the ICD-10 library for?

It is a public reference of ICD-10-CM codes clinicians look up while documenting, such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD-related codes, and substance-use codes. It is educational material on the marketing site, not a diagnosis tool and not a claim that AutoNotes assigns codes automatically.

What are the intervention and assessment guides?

Interventions are short clinical explainers, from cognitive restructuring and DEAR MAN to safety planning. Assessments explain measures such as the PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5, and C-SSRS, including what they measure and how to document them. They are reference articles, separate from the note generator.
